CHAD VAUGHT
Chad Vaught was born and raised in a small suburb outside of Wichita, KS. His love for entertainment began at a young age of seven when he signed with The Gregory Agency based in his hometown. As he learned more and more about the entertainment industry, his love and knowledge for the performing arts grew.
In 2017 Chad graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. There he performed works choreographed by world renown choreographers such as: Trisha Brown, Stefanie Batten Bland, Ori Flomin, Jeremy Nelson, James Sewell, and many others. Post-graduation Chad moved to Dallas, TX and became a company member with DBDT: Encore! for their 2017/2018 season and then joined Bruce Wood Dance for their 2018/2019 season. Some live stage productions that Chad has had the pleasure of performing include: Dallas Theatre Center’s production of Hairspray, Plan-B Entertainment’s production of Chicago, The Dallas Opera’s production of Samson et Delila and Carmen.
He can be seen in multiple commercials such as Walmart, Wee Cheer, Air Hogs, Lionel Train Bank, Travel Branson, NBC5 Winter Olympics Texas Connects Us, and many others. He appears in Netflix’s movie musical, The Prom, under the direction of Ryan Murphy. You can also see Chad in the Dance League USA season pilot under the direction of Desiree Robbins. Chad has performed in and choreographed for Saint Victoria’s music video, Broken Record. He has done print work for numerous companies such as Adidas, Fitniks, Dance Magazine, Sport Chalet, Coleman Company Inc., Risk Styles Magazine, and others.
Chad has a passion for choreographing and teaching. While he was at New York University he choreographed two pieces on his peers. His piece I Am _____ was chosen to be showcased in the Second Avenue Dance Company Major Concert. He has choreographed for Wanderlust III and I.M. Terrell Dance Academy. His duet You vs. Me was chosen to be performed at the EXCHANGE Choreography Festival in Tulsa, OK. He has taught across the country and many institutions, such as the Joffrey Ballet School in Texas and I.M Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA. Chad is excited to continue choreographing and teaching dance for the existing and upcoming generations of dancers.
